ABOUT ME
Music Composer, Music Producer, Songwriter and Lirycist, he has been composing and producing original music for cinema, TV, theater and dance for over 35 years. Specialist in sound dramaturgy and immersive sound researcher, always in many of his works.
He composed some of the soundtracks for TV Globo’s soap-operas “Jóia Rara”, “Além do Horizonte” and “Órfãos da Terra”, and the music for the documentaries “Work In progress – inside OSESP” and “50 Years of Balé da Cidade de São Paulo”, directed by Diego de Godoy for Prodigo Films, and "Andes Extremo", by Wiland Pinsdorf, for History Channel. From 2006 thru 2013 he composed all the original music for Brazilian contemporary Dance Company Mariana Muniz.
He has received more than 20 awards for his work, including a Kikito at the Gramado Film Festival (with the film “Deus Ex-Machina”, by Carlos Gerbase) and the SHELL Award for Best Music for Theater (with the play “Dear Listeners”, by Otavio Martins). He was also nominated in 2021 for the Music Professionals Award with the scores for the documentary series “Work in Progress – inside OSESP” and for the documentary “50 Anos do Balé da Cidade de São Paulo”, both directed by Diego de Godoy for the Prodigo Films.
He was a professor at the Faculty of Social Communication Media at PUCRS for twelve years, where he taught “Radio Production” and “Sound for Cinema”; and was one of the artist-trainers of the Sound Design Course at SP Escola de Teatro for more than ten years, where he taught Sound Dramaturgy, Soundtrack Composition Techniques and Repertoire. He has a Master Degree by Universidade de São Paulo in Escola de Comunicações e Artes with his research about “meaning of song's lyrics in contemporary musical theater in Brazil”.
